ABOUT ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD (AAA)

This scholarship is available to students who achieve the highest rating (not including adjustment factor points) at high schools. This is evaluation of high school students’ knowledge and skills in core academic areas like English, math, reading, and science, to assess their readiness for college-level work.


Outline

The Academic Achievement Award (AAA) has been established to encourage academically gifted students who have completed final year at high schools to undertake undergraduate study at university for Medicine and Health, Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Veterinary.


The AAA comprises:

Three adjustment factor points (included in the maximum total points) for entry into an undergraduate degree program at university for Medicine and Health, Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Veterinary.


Payment

Payment of £7,500 following confirmation of full-time enrolment at university for Medicine and Health, Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Veterinary.


The AAA can be deferred for up to 1 year, if the offer of Admission is formally deferred and the student does not undertake any other tertiary study in the meantime.


The AAA cannot be held in conjunction with a Scientia Scholarship or other Scholarship.

Payment of the AAA is made on the condition that students are enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program at university for Medicine and Health, Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Veterinary, as at Census date in the year of award.


Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:


  • Must have achieved the highest ranking at their school (excluding adjustment factor points)
  • Must have submitted a Undergraduate Admission application and listed at university for Medicine and Health, Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Veterinary as one of their preferences by the December Round 2 offer round (20 December 2025).
  • Must have completed an UK or EU qualification high school, in the year prior to commencing studies at university for Medicine and Health, Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Veterinary.
  • Be commencing & enrolled full-time in at university for Medicine and Health, Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Veterinary undergraduate degree program


Selection

AAA offers will be automatically awarded by Zdenko Kos Foundation to students that achieve the highest ranking at high schools and are commencing undergraduate studies at at university for Medicine and Health, Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Veterinary in Term 1, 2026.

Students at high schools and universities of medicine and health care, science, mathematics, physics, chemistry and veterinary in the United Kingdom, Europe and international can apply for a single calendar year or for the entire period of study. If the financial package is approved, the student will be given temporary or permanent job with one of hospitals or medical facility we are working with in the UK or Europe.
