HOW TO APPLY

As written above and here below you don't need to apply for those three schemes as they are entered automatically:


  • Year 12 student from an identified low-SES background: Several universities will automatically generate an application for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) as part of your university application to one of this university. You only need to submit an additional Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity Scholarship (ES) if you want us to know about any additional hardships that have affected your studies.


  • Entering any university of the Zdenko Kos Foundation interest via the Gateway Admission Pathway: You will automatically be considered for Equity Scholarships based on your chosen university Gateway Admission Pathway application. You only need to submit an Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity Scholarship (ES) if you want us to know about any additional hardships that have affected your studies.


  • Entering chosen university via the Indigenous Admission Pathway: You will automatically be considered for Equity Scholarships based on your university Indigenous Admission Pathway application. You only need to submit an Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity Scholarship (ES) application if you want us to know about any additional hardships that have affected your studies.

  • Educational Access Scheme (EAS) Application via desire university. Applying for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity Scholarships via university chosen: You will need to submit either an Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity Scholarship (ES) application to be considered for an Equity scholarship. Apply by 20 November 2025.


  • The Educational Access Scheme (EAS) is open to year 12 students who have encountered significant educational challenges during year 11 and/or 12. For more information on eligibility and how to apply, visit Zdenko Kos Foundation EAS. Note: You will only be considered for Equity scholarships on the basis of your Gateway Admission Pathway and/or Zdenko Kos EAS applications when you enter chosen university. If you wish to be considered for Equity scholarships in subsequent years, you will need to submit an Equity Scholarship application. Equity Scholarship Application via Zdenko Kos Foundation - choice of few universities. Apply by 9 December 2025.


The Equity Scholarship application allows commencing and current applicants undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate coursework studies to apply for Equity scholarships. You will be considered on the basis of your existing Equity Scholarship (ES) application. Equity scholarship applications open in April and close the following March.

You only need to submit ONE Equity Scholarship application via Zdenko Kos Foundation during this period. Your application remains live throughout this period, and you will be considered for all available Equity Scholarships for which you are eligible.

Commencing Undergraduate Scholarship offers for Term 1 2025

Equity Scholarship offers are made progressively during the Gateway Admissions Pathway and universities Equity Scholarship rounds through to March 2025.


Important note: some scholarships may require an additional separate application (e.g. accommodation, direct University Scholarships application). Please carefully review the information below for the relevant scholarships.

Our Equity Scholarship program for students currently enrolled in their studies in 2025 includes:



MEDICINE & HEALTH - SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

Description:

Supports a 4th-year exercise medicine and health student.

Value and Duration:

£17,500 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports a 4th-year exercise physiologist student.

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.



SCIENCE - SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

Description:

Assists Indigenous students commencing an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Science or Faculty of Engineering at different universities. The £25,000 will be paid as accommodation fees directly to the accommodation provider. Where the annual residential fees are less than the annual scholarship value, the difference will be paid as a stipend. Indigenous student preference will be given to British, German, Italian, Slovenian and Swiss citizens.

Value and Duration:

£25,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports students commencing full-time studies in an Honours Year program in the School of Mathematics & Statistics.

Preference will be given to students doing a double degree and/or a pure mathematics stream.

Value and Duration:

£15,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.



Students at high schools and universities of medicine and health care, science, mathematics, physics, chemistry and veterinary in the United Kingdom, Europe and international can apply for a single calendar year or for the entire period of study. If the financial package is approved, the student will be given temporary or permanent job with one of hospitals or medical facility we are working with in the UK or Europe.
