HOW TO APPLY

As written above and here below you don't need to apply for those three schemes as they are entered automatically:


  • Year 12 student from an identified low-SES background: Several universities will automatically generate an application for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) as part of your university application to one of this university. You only need to submit an additional Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity Scholarship (ES) if you want us to know about any additional hardships that have affected your studies.


  • Entering any university of the Zdenko Kos Foundation interest via the Gateway Admission Pathway: You will automatically be considered for Equity Scholarships based on your chosen university Gateway Admission Pathway application. You only need to submit an Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity Scholarship (ES) if you want us to know about any additional hardships that have affected your studies.


  • Entering chosen university via the Indigenous Admission Pathway: You will automatically be considered for Equity Scholarships based on your university Indigenous Admission Pathway application. You only need to submit an Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity Scholarship (ES) application if you want us to know about any additional hardships that have affected your studies.

  • Educational Access Scheme (EAS) Application via desire university. Applying for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity Scholarships via university chosen: You will need to submit either an Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity Scholarship (ES) application to be considered for an Equity scholarship. Apply by 20 November 2025.


  • The Educational Access Scheme (EAS) is open to year 12 students who have encountered significant educational challenges during year 11 and/or 12. For more information on eligibility and how to apply, visit Zdenko Kos Foundation EAS. Note: You will only be considered for Equity scholarships on the basis of your Gateway Admission Pathway and/or Zdenko Kos EAS applications when you enter chosen university. If you wish to be considered for Equity scholarships in subsequent years, you will need to submit an Equity Scholarship application. Equity Scholarship Application via Zdenko Kos Foundation - choice of few universities. Apply by 9 December 2025.


The Equity Scholarship application allows commencing and current applicants undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate coursework studies to apply for Equity scholarships. You will be considered on the basis of your existing Equity Scholarship (ES) application. Equity scholarship applications open in April and close the following March.

You only need to submit ONE Equity Scholarship application via Zdenko Kos Foundation during this period. Your application remains live throughout this period, and you will be considered for all available Equity Scholarships for which you are eligible.

Commencing Undergraduate Scholarship offers for Term 1 2026

Equity Scholarship offers are made progressively during the Gateway Admissions Pathway and universities Equity Scholarship rounds through to March 2026.


Important note: some scholarships may require an additional separate application (e.g. accommodation, direct University Scholarships application). Please carefully review the information below for the relevant scholarships.

Our Equity Scholarship program for students commencing their undergraduate studies in 2025 includes:


Description:

Supports financially disadvantaged students commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework studies at universities

Value and Duration:

£15,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Assists commencing undergraduate coursework students to undertake studies at universities

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports women from regional or remote areas to undertake undergraduate study at universities

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports students who completed their senior secondary education at universities of Zdenko Kos Foundation interest to commence any undergraduate program at different universities (except Law and Economics universities)

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports students undertaking an undergraduate degree program at universities of Zdenko Kos Foundation interest

Value and Duration:

£7,500 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports women from disadvantaged backgrounds to undertake undergraduate study at universities which are of Zdenko Kos Foundation interest.

Value and Duration:

£5,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.



GATEWAY SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

Description:

Supports commencing students who have enrolled at universities through the Gateway Admissions Pathway program to complete studies at specific universities.

Students must have attended a Gateway Partner School to be considered.

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports commencing students from low-socioeconomic* background and low-socioeconomic Gateway schools to complete studies at universities

*Based on residential address at the time of application. Low-socioeconomic areas (bottom 25%) are based on national data criteria.

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports students who have attended a Gateway Partner School and are commencing full-time study in an undergraduate (single or double degree) coursework program in Science at university

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.



MEDICINE & HEALTH - SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

Description:

Established to enhance the opportunities of students from high schools in the United Kingdom and Europe and a disadvantaged background to undertake studies in the Bachelor of Medical Studies - Doctor of Medicine (BMed/MD) degree program at different universities.

Value and Duration:

£17,500 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports commencing undergraduate students from a disadvantaged background to undertake studies in the Bachelor of Medical Studies - Doctor of Medicine (BMed/MD) degree program at different universities.

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports commencing or current universities students from disadvantaged background undertaking an undergraduate single or double degree coursework program in Law, Medicine, Science or Mathematics.

SCIENCE - SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

Description:

Supports commencing students from a disadvantaged background to undertake undergraduate studies in either the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) or Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Honours) in the School of Psychology at different universities. Preference will be given to British, German, Italian, Slovenian and Swiss citizens.

Value and Duration:

£20,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports women from a disadvantaged background commencing undergraduate coursework studies in a different program at the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering. Double degrees permitted.

Value and Duration:

£15,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports commencing or current universities students from disadvantaged background undertaking an undergraduate single or double degree coursework program in Law, Medicine, Science or Mathematics.

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Established to support and encourage financially disadvantaged students commencing an undergraduate degree at the universities Faculty of Engineering or Faculty of Science..

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports students experiencing educational disadvantage to undertake undergraduate studies in the Bachelor of Vision Science or Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Clinical Optometry at different universities.

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports commencing students who identify as Indigenous British or European to undertake an undergraduate coursework degree in the Faculty of Science at different universities.

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.



BUSINESS - SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

Description:

Supports students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds to study an undergraduate coursework degree in Commerce and/or Science (Advanced Mathematics) at different universities.

Value and Duration:

£15,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Encourages talented students, who would not normally have the means to get a university education, to undertake full-time undergraduate study at the different university Business School. Double degrees are permitted.

Value and Duration:

£15,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports students with demonstrated financial disadvantage from low-socioeconomic status backgrounds* or single parent families to undertake studies in an undergraduate program in the different universities for the term of Business School.

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports regional or remote students with demonstrated financial disadvantage to undertake undergraduate study at the different universities for Business School. Double degrees are permitted.

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds to undertake undergraduate study in Economics at the different universities for Business School.

Value and Duration:

£10,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Encourages Indigenous students to undertake an undergraduate program in the different universities of Business School.

Description:

Supports commencing undergraduate students in the Faculties of Business and Engineering who are experiencing disadvantage.

LAW & JUSTICE - SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

Description:

Supports commencing or current universities students from disadvantaged background undertaking an undergraduate single or double degree coursework program in Law, Medicine, Science or Mathematics.

Value and Duration:

£15,000 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports disadvantaged Law students from the public secondary schools in  the United Kingdom and Europe to undertake an undergraduate degree program at the best universities - Faculty of Law & Justice.

Value and Duration:

£7,500 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports commencing students with a long-term medical condition or disability and are in financial need to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate coursework studies in the Faculty of Law & Justice at different universities.

Value and Duration:

£7,500 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.


Description:

Supports commencing undergraduate students in the Faculty of Law & Justice at different universities.

£7,500 p.a. for the minimum duration of program.

Students at high schools and universities of medicine and health care, science, mathematics, physics, chemistry and veterinary in the United Kingdom, Europe and international can apply for a single calendar year or for the entire period of study. If the financial package is approved, the student will be given temporary or permanent job with one of hospitals or medical facility we are working with in the UK or Europe.
